Hand up Africa Network(HAN),is a Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) registered with the mission and core values to provide Services, Support and Empowerment of Children, Adolescents & People living or faced with mental Health challenges and issues
Raise mental health awareness by promoting early interventions, developing a support network, fostering peer support, enhancing copping mechanisms by strengthening family and community support and Collaborating with Employers at work places
To ensure and provide essential services, support and empowerment of Children, Adolescents & people with mental health cases.
Regular monitoring and evaluation of the program’s effectiveness, through surveys and assessments, will provide feedback for continuous improvement. Securing long-term funding from government agencies, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic organizations will ensure the program’s sustainability and expansion to reach a broader audience.
However, in Uganda funding remains low by international standards.As of 2019 only 9.8%of the Gross domestic product (GDP)was allocated to Health and only 1% of the GDP was allocated to mental health services..An indication of a shortfall in funding towards Mental Health.
Hand up African Network (HAN),is currently Sourcing/looking for funds to support this budget cost for this project implementation of Twenty Thousand US dollars($20,000) per month or monthly for a period of One(1)year with extension to more years and buget/Funding increase upon performance.
